What it is

A full store, not a starter kit.

Illustration: a biplane in flight.

  1. 01

    Commerce API

Catalog, cart, checkout, orders, inventory, promotions, gift cards, returns and shipping. Stock never oversells.

  2. 02

    Admin

Orders, products, customers, promotions and analytics, with roles, an audit log and two-factor sign-in.

  3. 03

    Storefront

Server-rendered, fast and indexable. French, English and Arabic, with the layout mirrored for Arabic.

  4. 04

    Installer

Asks for your settings once, checks every integration, builds and seeds the store, then runs smoke tests.

  • Retainers and the agency bench: billed monthly in advance, cancel with 30 days notice. Unused hours do not roll over.

FAQ

Questions.

01 Is The Merchant Engine free?

Yes. It is open source under the MIT license. If you are a developer, you can install and run it yourself, for any store, without paying me anything.

You hire me when you want it done for you, done faster, or kept running while you focus on selling.

How to install it yourself, on themerchantengine.com ↗

02 What is not included in the prices?

Infrastructure. You pay your server, storage, email and domains directly, in your own name, so you always own the accounts.

For a small store that is usually $10 to $40 a month. I help you pick and set up each one during the launch.

03 Can I get a storefront designed just for my brand?

Yes. The engine has a full API, so any storefront can sit on top of it. Every brand needs something different, so I quote it after a 30 min call. The price is fixed before I start.

04 Who owns the store?

You do. The code runs on your server, the data sits in your database and every account is in your name. You can leave at any time and keep everything.

05 How does white label work?

You sell the store to your client at your own price. I build it with your logo in the admin and no mention of badii.studio. I talk to you, not to your client, and sign an NDA if you need one.

Tell me about your store.

In 30 minutes we check if the engine fits, which package you need, and what your infrastructure will cost.
